Fascinating look at the Queen’s life
Will be of some interest even to people who aren’t pro Monarchy, told mostly through the use of old home movie or news reels. Prince Charles’ “narration” I suspect was done as he watched these films.
“Featuring the Queen’s home movies” the DVD case tells you…and that’s what a lot of the footage is- home movies from the Queen’s early childhood through the present day. I’m guessing the Black & White or Color film has been restored because the look of it is almost “new”.
For whatever reason, the people who made this tribute jumped around in history and geography, it’s not 1926 to 2016… it’s all over the place. I think it doesn’t even hold to subject as it goes on. Various cousins, Prince Charles (sometimes alone or wth the Queen or William & Harry …the two of them on their own too) William and Harry do their own bits too, maybe almost as much as Charles. Most of them are shown watching some bit or other and talking as they watch. Even her Majesty’s London Olympics appearance with James Bond (actor Daniel Craig) makes it into the story (I think Harry had a hand in that although he doesn’t mention it). Princess Anne speaks several times., that’s it for that generation except for some of the cousins.
Princess Margaret’s daughter Lady Sarah Chatto speaks about as often as the two princes…you’ll see Andrew and Edward 3 or 4 times in the last 20 or so minutes, as well as single appearances by Camilla and Sophie, none of them speak at all. Fergie doesn’t appear at all, Diana is shown at Harry’s christening in 1984.
Everything is tied together by some connection to the Queen, and maybe nothing else. It’s a jumble of mostly pleasant footage (there’s a little of George VI’s funeral) with a lot of rarely to never seen footage. I took it down a star because of the time/location jumbling …it’s really pretty good.

    A great woman’s lifework
I really enjoyed this movie about Queen Elizabeth II’s life because it shows her continuing intelligence, practicality, and overall love for her country. It does explore some of the more sensitive situations such as Princess Diana, but the main focus is on the Queen, her great love for her people and her devotion to her duties. She is an amazing woman who has lived through amazing times that have demanded great wisdom from her and her family.. A great and compassionate leader who also is courageous.

Thanks for telling me when I’m done not more than 100 words, TYPICAL!
I wish that Idiot Harry could be edited out, his comments were that of a stupid individual . He cropped up more than necessary.

Yes – you need to purchase this video! Great video of Queen Elizabeth
Fantastic video of Queen Elizabeth’s life. They use old footage and interview the Queen and various family members. I like how they interviewed Prince William, Prince Harry, and her niece, Sarah Chatto. I wish they would’ve interviewed Princess Ann more – and Prince Andrew & Edward were never interviewed (disappointment). However, it was a great video about Queen Elizabeth. I highly recommend purchasing this. I follow the royal family and this is excellent.

For a Royal Afternoon or anytime!! Cheerio 😉
Excellent! Most Impressive!! And family members who get very little mic-time… or are shy of the camera… reflect their pleasures and memories. Some shots are even new to the Queen And Prince Charles.

    Royal Home Movies
Love it! Royal home movies complete with running commentary from the royal family members themselves. You’ll watch Princes William and Harry, Prince Charles, Princess Anne, the Queen’s cousin, and even the queen herself comment on film clips of the coronation, trips abroad, as well as private home movies of the royal family at play.
