A disappointing start to my new year
Overall this is a lightweight, coffee table book. Nice pictures, information that barely scratches the surface. Nevertheless it’s “decent”. I will say that I’m disappointed by the misleading subtitle “Operations Manual”. This book falls very short of that. There is nothing here that remotely touches on the protocol or “operations” of the royal family, which I eagerly anticipated. I guess I should be as disappointed in myself as I am with the author (who touts himself as the “Godfather of Royal Reporting”, seriously?) This is little more than another journalistic adventure into the mind of a royal stalker (please forgive me, that should have read “royal watcher”). I give this a 3-star rating solely because it arrived BEFORE time, it’s crisp and clean, and because I’m quite sure I can make a beautiful gift of this to a friend who will appreciate it much more than I did.

    Colorful Coffee Table Book
This book features a comprehensive overview of the British Royal Family, their history, duties, customs, sources of funding, etc… Each page has numerous colorful photos and interesting fact. The only knock on this book are occasional typos and misspellings (and not due to British vs American English). For example, on page 23 it states that Prince William was born on 21 June 1981.
Overall, a good book to add to your bookcase or coffee table.
